I'm actually watching a semi-entertaining NBA game featuring 2 Eastern Conference teams right now. What's more, the Knicks are one of those teams! Perhaps Isiah Thomas is not as insane as I'd once thought. FYI, the other team is the Cleveland LeBron Jameses, and Young Bron-Bron is indeed impressive, as advertised. Doesn't look like an 18-year old, that's for sure. But he's not exactly dominating the game; he stands around on D a lot; and he's got to know that headbands look stupid. Additionally, from what I've seen, those in the Basketball Know will understand why he could change his name to "LeBron Ames,*" in order to more accurately reflect his basketball prowess.

* "J" being the first letter in the words "jump shot," naturally.

And now, here's something tasty to fill your belly:

Chop up 2 cloves of garlic real fine. Mix these with the freshly-squeezed juice of 1/2 lime, 2 tablespoons honey, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 tablespoon cumin, and your preferred amount of kosher salt and red and black pepper. Cook a few cubed chicken breasts in 1 tablespoon olive oil over high heat, and add this mixture pretty much right away, stopping when the liquid has thickened and coated the nicely done chicken pieces. Serve this with some sauteed onions and peppers in a tortilla, and you have some tasty fajitas! Guacamole, beans, rice, tomatoes, salsa, and (if you must) sour cream go nicely with this. Kids love it.

Amen to Mexican food.

As you may have noticed, my creative steam has lately run below the amount required for the regular upkeep of this page. I've been enjoying life lately. Things seem sort of boring, in general, but not unbearably so. I'm really looking forward to starting my life on my own, but financially I'm not yet ready. So I do a lot of daydreaming. Which is nice, but which also gets frustrating. The Cubs are going to win 97 games this year. How's that for daydreaming?
