Well it's several months on and I'm still listening to American Idiot almost every day, still eating pretzels for lunch, still doing bong rips all day long. That last one was a lie, by the way. Glad Pete doesn't read this, or I'd have to consider myself a tease.

I'm moving out in 19 days. This fact is remarkable to me. I'm going to really have to start cleaning out my room, making sure there's nothing left in there that I don't want to take with me or keep with my parents. Should help the time go by quickly, as have the last 3 action-packed weekends. Party at OUR place on 4/9, if anybody's interested in showing up and moving a bunch of stuff up 3 stories and then eating pizza and drinking beer.

That's all for now. I am still alive.

Hon. Mention:

"High Plains Drifter," the Beastie Boys

Is it only the B-boys who could sing a song about a "kleptomaniac K-mart shoplifter" robbing and murdering his way across New York and make it sound appealing and listenable, even though it repeatedly samples a shotgun chambering a round and the garbled echo of a woman in the throes of sexual passion? Yes, I think it is.

This is off the Paul's Boutique album, BTW, which I'm pretty sure is the 'Boys' best work. Hilarious and revolting, hideous and magnificent to behold, I'd have to say it's some of the most creative music of the '80s. "Is your name Michael Diamond?" "No, mine's, uh, Clarence."
